Hello people!
So today, I finished watching series 5 of Doctor Who and I have two words for it: BLOODY BRILLIANT!!!
Matt Smith may not be a David Tennant, but he makes one fine Doctor! I love him! Karen Gillan is also wonderful! Amy's strong and funny and stubborn.... she reminds me of Donna! And Arthur Darvill... oh, how I love Rory! He's sooooo adorable. And his dedication to Amy is so sweet. He's an amazing character. I love how he loves and hates the Doctor at the same time. They make an excellent trio!!! And River... Dudeeee, the woman is sooooooo awesome there are no words for her!!! You can actually see how the Doctor struggles not to like her, but it's impossible. I love how she's the one who can understand him so well and how she can actually save his arse for a change.
And the story lines!!! Steven Moffat, you're the man!!! I wanna be like you when I grow up!! Seriously, the whole series was incredible. Everything connected in a way that Russell T. Davies was never able to do, no matter how hard he tried. And every episode was amazing on its own as well. I loved how they brought back the Weeping Angels and, of course, the Daleks! You can't have an DW series without the Daleks! And the vampires... I LOVED THE VAMPIRES!!!! Bloody awesome!!! But my favorite episode was definitely, definitely, Vincent and the Doctor! It was so bittersweet I actually cried in the end.
I think what I liked best about Moffat is that he seems like the kind of guy who actually believes in happy endings. End of the series and no one died (at least not permanently), no one got sucked into another dimension, no one got their memories wiped out and the doctor didn't end up alone. See?? Happy endings RTD... it isn't so hard to do!
All in all, this was one hell of DW series!!! 5 stars!!! Can't wait for series 6. I just know it will be just as awesome. Especially because Neil Gaiman will write one of the episodes. And please, bring Martha for a quick cameo... And Jack! yes! That would be sooooo amazing!!!
